The glassworks were founded in 1845 in the heart of Europe, in the cradle of the Czech six-hundred-year glassmaking tradition, which gradually gained world fame. The 50OPK decor is one of the most interesting and demanding traditional cuts, typical of the classic assortment of lead crystal bearing the Bohemia Crystal brand.
„Cibulák"
From the beginning reffered to as the onion pattern, is based on a combination of stylized plant motifs against the background of East Asian philosophy, but is adapted to the European style and concept. The common name "onion pattern" has its origin in a misinterpretation of one of the motifs in the pattern, a depiction of a pomegranate that resembles an onion in shape. Nevertheless, the term "cibulák" is a symbol of fragile beauty, a symbol of the combination of usefulness and pleasure of the spirit, a symbol of uniqueness and worldliness. Porcelain with an onion pattern is produced by the joint-stock company Český porcelán under the trade name ROKOKO.
